A106

The Alpine A106 is the first Alpine series designed by Chappe and Gessalin for Jean Rédélé based on the Renault 4 CV.
Presented in 1955 in Billancourt in the yard of the Renault factory.
There were several A106: the coach (with straight headlights then with remote lighthouses) and the cabriolet from the Paris Salon 1957.
In 1960, the A106 coach gives way to the A108 type but a new body, appeared on the Tour de France, will soon supplant it in the minds and on the podiums, the berlinette.
