The electro-galvanised JP4 chassis with cataphoresis treatment is a brand-new, high-quality chassis designed to replace the frame of the RENAULT JP4 (R4). Fitment and installation notes: This chassis is designed for all RENAULT JP4 models. It respects the original sheet metal thicknesses and retains the overall design of the factory frame. It incorporates the second-generation torsion bar mounting system (post-October 1978): when fitting to a pre-October 1978 vehicle, a late-model front torsion bar system must be adopted. Depending on the year and model, minor drilling adjustments may be required. The chassis is ready to accept body gaskets (ref. 142216), sealants (ref. 267084) and paint (consult your paint supplier regarding the possible need for a primer coat).
Chassis number stamping: Melun Retro Passion is authorised to stamp your original chassis number onto the new frame (upon presentation of a copy of the vehicle registration document by post, email or fax, along with a photograph of the original stamp — ref. MARKING).
